About the role
You’ll shape pronunciation, text normalisation, evaluation guidelines and data collection prompts, so our models respect how Swahili is really spoken in each region.
What you’ll do
- Define pronunciation and style guidelines for Waridi Sauti voices
- Design prompts and annotation guidelines for speech collection
- Lead listening evaluations and dialect coverage reviews
What we’re looking for
- Native Swahili speaker with formal linguistics training
- Deep knowledge of regional variation in Swahili
- Clear written English and Swahili
Nice to have
- Phonetics or speech technology experience
- Knowledge of Sheng and urban registers
- Another East African language
